

Attorney
Trained as an oboist at the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School, Jim Kendrick began his publishing career in 1977 helping to found European American Music before studying law. Following graduation from Rutgers Law School in 1983, he has specialized in intellectual property matters with a particular emphasis on the music and audio-visual industries. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Kendrick has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Boosey & Hawkes, Inc. He rejoined Schott Music/European American Music as President in March 2002.
Jim is also Secretary and a director of The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc., The Amphion Foundation, Inc., the Virgil Thomson Foundation Ltd., and The Charles Ives Society, Inc. He also serves as a director of The American Music Center, Inc. and is secretary to the Koussevitzky music foundations. He is a member of the Executive Committee of The International Association of Entertainment Lawyers and counsel to the Music Publishers Association of the United States. He is a frequent speaker on copyright and music industry business practices both in the US and overseas.
Musicologist
Silke Hilger is a musicologist specializing in contemporary classical music. She holds a M.A. and PhD from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Germany. Previous positions include Head of Promotion for Boosey & Hawkes in Germany and Director of Publications and Promotion at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. Former board member of the International Society of Contemporary Music. She is a published author and a member of the American Musicological Society.
Director of Foundation Services
Wesley York currently administers several music foundations: The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, The Amphion Foundation, The Koussevitzky Music Foundation, The Virgil Thomson Foundation and the Charles Ives Society. Prior to his present position, he was Grants Manager for these organizations and Executive Director of Kirov Mariinsky Opera International. At the American Music Center, he was Grants Manager from 1992 to 1997. He graduated from the New England Conservatory, where he majored in music theory and composition, and from Clark University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature. He is a composer and writes and lectures on contemporary music.
Foundation Grants Manager
Jessica Rauch acts as Foundation Grants Manager for The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, The Amphion Foundation and the Virgil Thomson Foundation, as well as assisting with permissions and licensing requests made to the various foundations. Jessica brings a diverse background in music to her current position. She is an operatic mezzo-soprano, commercial recording artist, music educator and was recently the co-manager of a Brooklyn-based opera company. Jessica holds a Master of Music degree in Operatic Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Northwestern University. Jessica continues to perform and record in the New York area.
